Bridget Brownlow

Bridget Brownlow is the Coordinator of Experiential Learning: Peace, Reconciliation and Development at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. 

​

She was the university's Conflict Resolution Advisor and responsible for the successful design and administration of a unique and progressive conflict management system supporting students, faculty, and staff for more than 18 years.

​

She is an internationally recognized and certified conflict resolution specialist with over 25 years of extensive experience in historical, interpersonal, and organizational conflict management. She also holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in history.

 

For the past 20 years, Bridget has been the Senior Coordinator of an international peace education / conflict resolution initiative in Northern Ireland / North of Ireland. This involves the grassroots peace education and conflict resolution programming in cooperation with long-standing partners on the ground in Northern Ireland. These partnerships include loyalist and republican ex-combatants, community activists, parent organizations, government representatives, NGO's and across all sectors within the education system.

In 2021, she was presented with the Irish Presidential Distinguished Service Award for Peace, Reconciliation and Development by the President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins.
